Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria to apply for recruitment of JE under the IOCL are available below; go through the listed points to find out if you can apply for this recruitment or not.
Chemical
- Educational Qualification: 3-year Diploma in Chemical Engineering (full-time) with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
- Age Limit: 18 to 26 years
Electrical
- Educational Qualification: 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering (full-time) with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
- Age Limit: 18 to 26 years
Mechanical
- Educational Qualification: 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (full-time) with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
- Age Limit: 18 to 26 years
Instrumentation
- Educational Qualification: 3-year Diploma in Instrumentation / Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Instrumentation (full-time) with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
- Age Limit: 18 to 26 years
The age relaxation is applicable for 3 years and 5 years for OBC-NCL and SC/ST, respectively. Additionally for PwBD, it is 10 years.
Application Fee
In order to apply for recruitment of JE under the IOCL, it is mandatory that you deposit the application fee. They vary from one another for each category; check details from below.
- If you belong to UR, OBC (NCL or CL), or EWS, you are required to deposit the application fee of ₹150.
- There is no application fee for SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Showroom.
The application fee can be deposited using the debit card, credit card, NET banking, or any other provided payment gateway.

Pay Scale
After getting appointed as a junior engineer under the IOCL, you will get the basic pay of ₹25,000 under the 7th Central Pay Commission. Additionally, you will get a dearness allowance, house rent allowance, and other eligible allowances.
