Eligibility Criteria
To apply for this recruitment, it is mandatory that you meet the eligibility criteria. Go through the listed points to check if you are eligible to apply for recruitment for the Grade A (Assistant Manager) position under the SEBI.
1. General Stream
You must hold any of the following educational qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in any discipline
- Postgraduate Diploma (minimum 2-year duration) in any discipline
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- CA, CS, CMA or CFA
Note that there is no requirement for any experience.
2. Legal Stream
- You must have completed a bachelor’s degree in law; it can be either a 3-year regular or a 5-year integrated course.
- If you have two years of post-qualification experience as an advocate or legal professional, you will be preferred for appointment.
3. Information Technology (IT) Stream
You have completed any of the following degrees from a recognised institution.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline plus a 2-year postgraduate qualification in computer science, information technology or computer application
There is no requirement of any experience.
4. Research Stream
You must have a master’s degree or a 2-year postgraduate diploma in one of the following areas:
- Economics
- Statistics
- Commerce
- Finance
- Econometrics / Quantitative Economics
- Business Administration
- Business Economics / Financial Economics
- Agricultural Economics
- Industrial Economics
- Mathematical Economics
- Business Analytics
There is no requirement for any experience.
5. Official Language Stream
You must have any of the following educational qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the Bachelor’s level
- Master’s Degree in English, Sanskrit, Economics or Commerce with Hindi as a subject at the Bachelor’s level
- Master’s Degree in both English and Hindi with translation specialisation
6. Engineering (Electrical) Stream
- You must have completed a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- If you have knowledge or work experience related to electrical systems, infrastructure and maintenance, you will be preferred for appointment.
7. Engineering (Civil) Stream
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- You will be preferred for an appointment if you have knowledge or work experience in civil infrastructure, construction, project management or building maintenance.
The upper age limit is 30 years; if you are above this age, you can claim relaxation. It is 3 years for OBC-NCL and 5 years for SC and ST. There is an additional 10 years for PwBD.
Application Fee
The payment of the application fee is mandatory to apply for this recruitment. It is ₹1,000 for the individuals who belong to UR, OBC or EWS, and the payable amount for SC, ST and PwBD is only ₹100.
You need to deposit the application fee using a debit card, credit card, NET banking or UPI by the due date. If you miss the deadline, your application form won’t be accepted by the concerned authorities.
Selection Process
The selection process for recruitment of Grade A positions under the SEBI consists of three stages, which are Prelims, Mains and Interview. The final selection list for appointment will be prepared based on your performance in the last two stages of the selection process.

- After the successful registration, you need to log in with your registration number and password.
- Then, you have to fill in your application form with enter your personal, academic and eligibility details correctly.
